| We offer three ministries exclusively for women: Helping Hands, Joyful Helpers and Social Helpers. Helping Hands and Joyful Helpers are circles within the Christian Women's Ministries. Helping Hands meet at 7 p.m. in the evening of the first Thursday of the month in each other's homes while Joyful Helpers do likewise on the second Wednesday of the month a 1 p.m. Each hostess provides refreshments while members take turns leading lessons and worship. This year's theme is "Whose Voice is It?" Both groups attend General Meetings in February and July. CWM's purpose is to provide opportunities for Spiritual growth, enrichment, education, and creative ministries to enable women to develop a sense of personal responsibility for the whole mission of the Church of Jesus Christ. Disciples Women's Ministries Scripture: "We declare to you what we have seen and heard so that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ" (1 John 1:3). Social Helper's was organized in 1893, then known as the "Ladies Aid Society." In 1911 they changed the name to Social Helpers. They meet six times a year on the fourth Thursday of the month. Like CWM, they are active in supporting the church.
